Qur’anic Arabic Spelling Bee
Welcome to the Qur’anic Arabic Spelling Bee – a fun and educational competition that strengthens Arabic vocabulary, Qur’anic word recognition, and correct pronunciation through engaging spelling rounds. This program is designed for students who are learning to read and understand the Qur’an, while building confidence in their Arabic skills.
What is the Spelling Bee About?
- Students will be challenged to spell Arabic words found in the Qur’an
- Words are selected based on age level, frequency, and educational value
- Focus on proper spelling, letter recognition, and correct makharij (pronunciation)
Who Can Participate?
Open to all students enrolled at Al-Baseerah Academy, from Grades 1 through 8. Participants will be grouped by grade level to ensure age-appropriate vocabulary challenges.
Program Goals
- Increase Qur’anic Arabic vocabulary and spelling skills
- Promote correct letter articulation and tajweed awareness
- Foster a love for the Arabic language and the Qur’an
- Build public speaking confidence in a supportive environment
