Sunday Islamic School in Barrington, Illinois
Al Baseerah Academy’s Sunday campus in Barrington, Illinois teaches Quran Reading, Memorization and Quran Understanding, Arabic, and Islamic Studies and Seerah to students from Pre-K through Grade 12, in one full day each week. It runs in partnership with the Al-Azhar Islamic Foundation.

What students study
Quran. Recitation, memorization and Tafseer, so that students understand what they read rather than only reciting it.
Tajweed. Structured instruction in the rules of recitation, taught in graded steps from Pre-K upward.
Arabic. Reading and writing, with vocabulary built deliberately toward understanding the Quran.
Islamic Studies and Seerah. The life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), alongside worship, character and manners, with weekly objectives students apply in daily life.
Our Quran teachers hold Ijazas and degrees from Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
Hifdh program
Our part-time Hifdh program for students memorizing the Quran is based at the Barrington campus. Details are on the Hifdh program page.
